UWANT Extended Warranty Terms

Effective Date: 15 April 2025


1. Introduction

This Extended Warranty Service ("Extended Warranty") is offered exclusively by UWANT.EU ("UWANT") to the original purchaser of eligible UWANT-branded products. The Extended Warranty supplements and extends the coverage of UWANT’s Standard Limited Warranty (available at https://uwant.eu/pages/warranty) under the terms outlined below.


2. Service Overview

2.1 Eligibility

a. The Extended Warranty is optional, fee-based, and available only for eligible UWANT products purchased directly from UWANT.EU or authorized retailers.
b. The Extended Warranty begins immediately after the expiration of UWANT’s Standard Limited Warranty.

2.2 Purchase & Activation

a. The Extended Warranty must be purchased at the time of the original product transaction or within 30 days of delivery. It cannot be purchased separately.
b. Once activated, the selected term is considered final, unless required otherwise by local consumer protection laws.
c. Only one Extended Warranty may be purchased per product.

2.3 Coverage

a. During the Extended Warranty period ("Service Period"), UWANT will repair or replace, at no cost to the customer, any defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and in compliance with the product manual.
b. Repairs/replacements will be performed by UWANT or its authorized service centers. Labor, parts, and shipping costs (if applicable) are fully covered.
c. This service is a contractual agreement and does not constitute an insurance policy.
d. If the Product is replaced during the Extended Warranty period, the replacement unit shall be covered under the original warranty term or for 90 days after replacement, whichever is longer.

2.4 Exclusions

Coverage does not apply to:

  • class="ds-markdown-paragraph">Damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow care instructions.
  • class="ds-markdown-paragraph">Consumable components (e.g., filters, batteries) unless failure results from manufacturing defects.
  • class="ds-markdown-paragraph">Products used for commercial purposes.
  • class="ds-markdown-paragraph">Acts of nature (e.g., floods, earthquakes) or external causes beyond UWANT’s control.

3. Limitations & Liability

3.1 UWANT’s Responsibility

a. UWANT’s liability under this Extended Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product.
b. UWANT is not liable for delays caused by events outside UWANT’s reasonable control. In case of such delays, UWANT shall inform the customer of the estimated time for resolution and provide status updates upon request.
c. UWANT is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., lost profits, data loss).
d. Local consumer laws may provide additional rights not affected by these terms.
e. Nothing in this Extended Warranty shall affect any statutory rights of the customer under applicable consumer protection laws in the European Union.

3.2 Customer Responsibilities

a. Proof of purchase and Extended Warranty registration are required for claims.
b. Products must be used in accordance with the provided guidelines.


4. Claims Process

4.1 How to File a Claim

a. Contact UWANT Support within 14 days of discovering a defect.
b. Provide:

  • class="ds-markdown-paragraph">Proof of purchase (invoice/receipt).
  • class="ds-markdown-paragraph">Product serial number.
  • class="ds-markdown-paragraph">Detailed description of the issue.
    c. Claims must be submitted via email to support@uwant.eu or through the UWANT.EU support portal.

4.2 Resolution

a. UWANT will respond within 5 business days to validate the claim.
b. If approved, UWANT will arrange repair, replacement, or refund (at UWANT’s discretion) within 15 business days.


5. Termination & Transferability

a. This Extended Warranty terminates if the product is sold, transferred, or no longer owned by the original purchaser, unless otherwise agreed in writing or covered by an official transfer service.
b. UWANT reserves the right to terminate coverage for fraudulent claims or breaches of these terms.


6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

6.1 Applicable Law

These Extended Warranty Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer residing in an EU Member State, nothing in these terms shall affect your statutory rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

6.2 Dispute Resolution

a. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be resolved through amicable negotiations between the parties.
b. If negotiations fail:

  • class="ds-markdown-paragraph">EU Consumers: You may initiate proceedings in the courts of your EU country of residence or submit the dispute via the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
  • class="ds-markdown-paragraph">Non-EU Consumers: Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Regional Court of Berlin (Landgericht Berlin), Germany.
    c. UWANT.EU reserves the right to pursue legal action for breaches of these Terms in German courts.
